Yeah but it was his crime spree that got him involved with consulting for the feds to begin with.

He also wrote books and was on the college circuit in the 80s. I met him when I was in college.

This "Barefoot Bandit" kid is quite bright. He managed to learn how to fly a plane from reading a book.

This "barefoot bandit" is not in the same league as Abnagle. This was just a punk kid, stealing. He had no moral compass. I don't see him as a master con man, or forger.

As for criminals making money from "consulting" fees, I think they make excellent loss prevention specialists. No one thinks as advanced as criminals in criminal thinking.
