First, not sure what this has to do with parenting Second, if random news quips with no background information and no context is enough to scare you, you better never read or watch the news or you'll live in a constant state of paranoia.

First off that McDonalds is in my town.
Second of all my brother was 300FT from the shooting when it happened, he heard the shots and him and the people he was with ran outside to see what was going on and watched as the police arrived and started CPR on the woman right in the parking lot.
And third of all some guy unloaded 3 shots into a pregnant woman in MY town, it shouldn't be like that here, we're not that kind of town.

That was set like forever ago, when my house was "hell".
My town is like that boring town where teenagers hang out at walmart and have nothing to do, the most excitement we get is when the firetrucks run code somewhere.

It shouldn't be like that anywhere but unfortunately, no city or town is immune to crazy things that happen. It still has nothing to do with parenting.
