I believe that over the past 20 years several children attempted to report the teacher to the school counselor and principal and psychologist.

Those children were told they were lying.

It seems as if there was protection from the highest levels in that school of those pedophiles because it continued for so long.

The pedophiles chose children who he knew would not question him, those being the children of immigrants who are taught to trust the authority of their teachers without question.

Pedos are among the filthiest, most manipulative, disgusting creatures on the planet.

Yet the only response likely to come from the Educational Establishment will be a call for more reginemtation; more bureaucracy, and a level of phony "sensitivity" that simply isn't attainable.

It won't be designed to help the real victims -- the immigrants with a limited understanding of our society who do much of our dirty work.

It will be aimed at Super-Suburbanite Susie and her Suburban Spouse -- trying to convince them that Jerry Sandusky's clone lives right down the street, and only another layer of public-sector "professionalism" can save their little domestic idyll.

Where (and when) will it end?

Thank you and 2nd trick op for bringing this and the McMartin case up.

And there are others like the Wenatchee child abuse prosecutions

Quote:
Forty-three adults were arrested on 29,726 charges of child sex abuse, involving 60 children in 1995.Parents and Sunday school teachers were charged and many were convicted of abusing children, often including their own, or their foster children.

snip

Those who were convicted were freed by higher courts and had their convictions overturned or pleaded guilty on lesser charges. Five served their full sentences before their cases were overturned. Some lost parental rights. By 2000 the last person in custody, Michael Rose, was released, after a judge vacated his March 1995 convictions.
In 1995 the world was ready to lynch everyone involved, damn the trials and straight to the gallows!

Think about this for a minute. The prosecution asserted there were sex parties on the altar during services with over 100 parishioners, both husbands and wives, taking part yet nobody ever reported it. Do you really think you could get 100 people, men and women together, have something like this happen and not have just one person report it? Out of 100 church going people you will find at least one, if not 99, that would report such a thing.

And yet people believed!

And in that case, like the one being discussed here, the police had all the evidence to prove guilt or so they said.

Is he guilty? I don't know, doesn't look good but I would want to see and review all the evidence before I consign someone to hell.

It is tricky, I agree. But if the guy is guilty, he should have been terminated and lost his pension. Not just allowed to retire quietly. That reeks of "old boy network".

LA Unified is embroiled in a major sex scandal whereby the teachers seem to have been protected Catholic Archdiocese style.

I am thoroughly disgusted by this.

Every single day it seems as if a new story comes to light about a teacher sexually abusing a kid here in Los Angeles, and how these teachers have been PROTECTED by their UNION and moved around or had their records sealed.

Well, the problem is the burden of proof required to terminate a teacher for inappropriate acts. We all know there are pervert teachers. Everyone in the school "knows" who they are, even the kids know. That is the problem. I taught, and saw several teachers moved over to the "ed shed" where they order books for the rest of their career, because it is too difficult to document the reasons with evidence of the teacher being inappropriate. Very difficult. But principals don't want them in their schools, so they get surplused at the end of the year...."Oh, we won't be needing a Spanish teacher next year", and the teacher is put on the surplus list...where other principals have to pick from those teachers...rather than new hires first...and we all "know" why people are on the surplus list...good teachers don't get "surplused"...it is the trouble makers who principals want to dump...

Police found the spoon, along with an empty container in the trash in Berndt's classroom and, through DNA testing, determined that both contained Berndt's semen.
