Brandon Hayes got life plus 160 years for the torture-murder of his girlfriend's 4-year-old son, Dominick Calhoun. With appeals, his attorneys are hoping to get it reduced to life plus 99 years.

Mom, Corinne Baker, got 13 to 30 for failing to do anything to protect her little boy.

Yessssssss that is good news and a good judge and jury.

I wonder who will get custody of Brandon's brother?

Good news that the boyfriend is doing life plus...but I sure hope the mom does closer to 30, not 13! 13 years is a joke...because of her failure to protect her child, he never will get to see 13 years.

The judgement of her family -- especially Dominick's brothers and sisters who watched the whole thing -- will be impossible to walk away from.

My understanding was that he was doing well and would stay where he was. I had hoped that Dominicks g-parents would get custody. She whined and cried during sentencing and said she had lost everything, her family, her children, that she had been making bad choices all of her life.......duh....

The judge raked both of them over the coals, so to speak.....

I hope he can get over the horror he witnessed.

In a way it's harder on him than on anyone. Witnessing the excruciating two-day murder of your little brother after MONTHS of beatings and neglect; losing your mother and home at the same time...Learning she is supposed to be as responsible as her boyfriend, who will haunt your dreams forever...It's too much to ask of a little boy. Dominick's problems are over, at least.
