[quote=virgode;23657437]Somehow it went from the sex offender registry to someones son looking at playboy playgirl mags.
You obviously are missing the point. The sex offender registry is made up of all types of cases that were prosecuted with a sexual component. So yes, Playboy and Playgirl magazines left out where minors can get their hands on them CAN be prosecuted by an overzealous prosecutor, as Faereydark (sp) said.

No, I didn't miss the point. depends on the state and how the law is written.
If you feel prosecutors are over stepping their boundaries on the law, you need to get involved for that to change.
So, changing the registry won't change whats punitive, only what can be registered.
I am not sure if the trial will be on TV, but I am sure Nancy Grace and her team are chomping at the bit to make sure everyone gets plenty of information. The talking heads will be out in full swing. I personally think Sandusky should take a plea. It is obvious to me that he has been victimizing boys for decades, carefully grooming and choosing his victims. No doubt feeling in his twisted mind that he "helped" these kids. He is so narrcasistic, that he probably beleives his own bull. I hope he goes down big.

Nancy Grace needs to keep her mouth out of it. She won't help and can only hurt with her dramatics.
I still believe that if she would have kept he mouth shut about Casey Anthony, there might have been a much different outcome.

Yes, lets blame Tot Moms acquital on Nancy Grace...sigh..
I don't think television coverage of court trials like OJ Simpson and Casey A. are a good thing.

They're not, and cases often are rushed by prosecutors to appease the public. rather than doing the job thoroughly which is best both for the accused and the case itself. Instead often cases are tried in the court of popular opinion, driven by the media who is in it for the profit. That doesn't benefit anyone.
