Madeleine wasn't adopted. She was a result of invitro fertilisation. The McCann's are her biological parents.

Stunning news, it appears they may finally be closing in on this case:

Arrest rumours in McCann inquiry - Yahoo!7

Hope this is not just another rumour and journalistic sensationalism.

It will actually be news when they make an actual arrest.

Until then, it is only journalistic sensationalism.

I'm very pessimestic about this case. I don't think this will come to anything either like all the other "breaking stories" about Madeleine.

I really hope something does come from this but I'm sceptical. Burglars aren't going to kidnap a 3 year old child. A 3 year old child wouldn't even be used to make an identification because they would be so unreliable. This will turn out to be a lot of hot air unfortunately.

This article is a lot more guarded and sensible.

I saw that update on the news yesterday. I haven't really followed this case much, but did they say the parents were dining with friends and left the little girl alone during that time ? If so, they really needed their heads examined. I would not leave a child alone for a minute in my own home, let alone in a strange town or country.

Sure journalists love to give criminals and kidnappers the heads up.

Are you kidding? The burgulars could make a fortune selling that little girl to any sicko out there. I would NEVER leave a child alone for any reason in a foreign country.

Journalists care about selling headlines, period. To believe otherwise demonstrates more than a little naivete.
