The man should get some sort of community award for ridding that area of a pedophile. I will keep an eye on this one because if they press charges and the guy needs some money for his defense I will send some for sure.
Sounds like justifiable homicide to me. Momentary insanity could be used. Really, in what kind of twisted reality would a jury actually convict him, in Texas no less.
No jury will find him guilty. DA can try what he wants, Local news here says deceased was living in Gonzales Texas and might not have been a US citizen.
What a badass. I'll be pissed if the DA presses charges; any reasonable parent would have done the same thing. I hope his daughter can recover from the abuses.
The father's punishment should be 40 hours of community service, which will include notifying all the sexual offenders in his area, that he will be assisting law enforcement to monitor their location and activities.
I would hope there is other corroboration of the abuse taking place than just one man's ex post facto claims. There was a case in Connecticut not that long ago in which an enraged father killed an alleged molester, except it turned out that no molestation had ever actually taken place...

I never understood why the identities of perpetrators are respected and protected while the victims are often exposed and forced into shame by members of their own communities. It should be the other way around.
