Default Teen couple shot

Lesbian Teen Couple Shot In Texas Park - ABC News

The intent of this thread is not [smile] to get into any moral/ethical/religious discussion about whether the particular lifestyle is right or wrong for someone- other than undoubtedly the reason for the attempted/murder as a bias/hate crime.

These are/were teenagers; to deliberately murder and attempt to murder because of a lifestyle - how can this remotely be justified. Can other people truly hate so deeply and passionately that they cannot connect that thinking with such a violent crime and truly believe it enough to justify murder?

I don't understand.

Can someone "truly hate so deeply and passionately"?

YES. And there are lots of them IMO.

Sad story indeed...

I'll never understand why anyone would hate anyone's lifestyle that much as to murder people over it, even if your bible tells you it's wrong or whatever, you have no right or reason to murder...if something someone's doing bothers you, go away so you won't be bothered by it! let it be..what's it to you?
Narrowmindedness and ignorance are killers...if taught early on that something is to be hated, it's probably hard to get rid of that type thinking. And if you're so spineless and gutless to tell your parents or whomever that they are wrong, that's also dangerous!

Apparently a witness has come forward - described the offender -- authorities have not found evidence that the shootings were 'relationship' oriented - foolish question, but how do you determine that before a person is apprehended?

Just hope they get the guy!
