Marilyn Monroe was a pill junkie, most addicts think they'll beat the odds.

Rumor has it that peter lawford was responsable for marilyns death. Lawford was buddys with john & bobby kennedy & she was going to spill the beans. The kennedys asked lawford to silence her so he did.

I generally am all for conspiracy theories [as I am still convinced Kennedy was not killed solely by Oswald-smile]; however, in the case of Marilyn Monroe, I do not believe there was a conspiracy, a cover-up, or anything of the like and I have really thought about all of the possible scenarios.

From all that I have read about Marilyn Monroe [Norman Jean Baker], and listened to, I do believe she was a very sad woman [despite her stardom], a very insecure woman who truly wanted to be loved very much for herself, despite the relationships she had and her marriages, she did not feel that she was. I think she truly loved Arthur Miller, the writer which is one of the reasons she converted to his religion.

It has been revealed that she was, frequently, very depressed and also put a great deal of pressure on herself to be 'perfect', 'wanted', 'loved', 'respected'.

I think is was an accidental death -- I do not know that she meant to commit suicide, I do think she took an overdose of medication - perhaps she was groggy, did not think her pills were kicking in and in this particular case, because of her relationship[s] with the Kennedys, well, I think the public wanted to embellish a bit more.

From everything I have read about Marilyn Monroe, she was BPD. Folks like this often do things impulsively....overdose on pills because a man did not call...their self esteem is all external. I don't see a conspiracy of a drug addict in therapy...who dies of an OD.

I believe this to be the best post and closest to the real truth on this subject.

Thanks Nitram.
Years ago [many] - I lived nearby to the rabbi who counseled and ultimately helped Marilyn Monroe convert to Judiasm - we all knew when she was there because of her very KOOl T-bird [I remember it well - it was the 2-seater with the hardtop "port hole" looking window which came off for the convertible top.

After she passed away, although not breaking any confidences as clergy cannot do, I vaguely remember the word being passed around the greater neighborhood about how upset he was to learn of her death, that he knew, in general, that she had been sad a lot and had struggled with personal feelings.

That's yet another reason why I do not believe in any conspiracy theory, Kennedy-wise or any other.

Interesting that you assume suicide. I thought it was an accidental overdose.

Who says she was trying to kill herself? Its very likely she died of accidental overdose.
