Should Bullys be held accountable for other people committing suicide? Just curious to know what everyone thinks about this. If so, what should be the punishment

IMHO, bullies should be held accountable for bullying. Not for suicides.

The punishment should depend on the level of bullying, but some community service where the offender can learn some humanity might be a good place to start.

I think they should be held accountable way, way before someone gets killed. Once upon a time, adults all felt that kids needed to grow up to be socially competent. they wouold not stand by and do nothing while someone was getting harassed. The harasser would be made to pay and the harassee would be taught to defend himself better. Now everyone -- even, a lot of times, the parents -- feel it's none of their business. It's like sending your kids off to war every morning.

Yes, the suicide is responsible for his or her own death, but it would never have come to that if even one adult had stepped in and frikkin' done something.

Ours laws have such things as intent i evry individual law and that as well as other elements of the crime must be met to charge a person with a crime. I think that we see the unli timate i what one can do when we loo at defense to prosecutions i laws .One has to realise that to commit suicide as perosn already has to have problems to start with mentally. Its the reason most eve when they think abut it do not follow thru during depression.
