From what I've read the movie is based on Jeff Ashtons book 'Imperfect Justice'. It also says there's no profit for Anthony...who knows for sure.
I can't see how Anthony could be denied payment for using her name. While she did do time for writing bad checks, she served out that sentence, and she's officially innocent of the murder charge, so she has just the same rights as anyone, and I doubt very much she gave permission to use her name with no payment.
Although I am a die-hard true crime aficionado, and followed the Anthony case closely, I will not watch this show.
I realize she was found not guilty in court, but there was too much information about her behavior prior to, around, and after the disappearance of Caley to make me ever believe she was not somehow involved.
I want her to slink off into obscurity and plan to do whatever I can to help. Although posting on this thread could be construed as giving her attention. If any producers of this movie are reading here, though, please note I won't be watching. I also will not read any books on this case or watch any other shows on the case.

I think your right, why would they hurt ratings disclosing that information knowing public opinion.
The name Caylee Anthony and Casey Anthony are legally protected from commercial use without consent. $$$$
Nope, I won't watch it. If it's already been on I didn't watch it. All I watch on Lifetime is John Walsh and America's Most Wanted.
George and Cindy scoffed up $600,000 from Dr. Phil and I am sure Casey is enjoying that money along with mom and dad. The money was donated to the 'Caylee Marie Charity' that disappeared.
Both prosecutors fell into the same legal trap. There was so much physical evidence in both cases that they came to believe the mass of the evidence would convict, but overlooked the fact that most of the evidence didn't do anything in directly connecting the accused with the crime charged.
Technology often can't settle murders that are done by family members. In the OJ case, the prosecution made the terminal mistake of asking OJ to put on that glove, the only piece of evidence that was a direct connection. Anyone who's ever worn leather gloves knows they can shrink after they are soaked.
I'm not going to watch it. The point was made earlier that Casey will profit from the movie. That's true, as she was found not guilty. Only the proven guilty are prohibited from making a profit on their crimes.
Do I believe she did it? Yes. But our legal system is what it is, and my opinion does not count. I respect a jury's findings even if I don't agree with them.
I do not respect the jury's findings in the OJ Simpson case. That verdict was clearly racially motivated.
I think all of those anthonys stink to high heaven and I would never watch or read or anything to do with the anthonys including George and Cindy , they have kind of slinked off into obsecurity lately which i am thankful for .. I wish casey would do the same thing and one can only hope that all of them go away and never to be heard from again .
