I will actually miss Juan Martinez in cross examinations. I am watching him batter the last witness in this case. You can tell he cares about Travis and his family.

Whoooooo Boy !!!!!!! Juan is in fine form today !!!!!!! When I first saw this latest witness I thought he might be trouble for the prosecution, but Juan is slicing and dicing his "expertise" quite handily.

I remember the statement the cop made to Jodi during the interrogation, he said something to the effect that "You don't want to go up against this prosecutor, I know him and he is tough." Understatement of the year.

Juan must be a heck of a father. I can imagine his children get away with nothing!! And the guy that dates one of his daughters, better be on point.

I didn't think the defense could top their last two witnesses, the bumbling quack Dr. Samuels and the evasive, combative Laviolette, but this poor ******* has poured water all over the stand multiple times, belched, and had the nerve to second guess the medical examiner...I've enjoyed every minute of Juan though...well worth it!

Totally agree.

I just read and listened to a bit of Sky Hughes last night on Dr. Drew. Have you seen or read it? It is worthwhile!

Sky and her husband had Travis in THEIR bedroom 5/26 talking to him about ARIAS. She was also in the residence but presumed asleep in the bedroom 1-2 floors lower. Apparently, ARIAS had done something so bad to Travis he couldn't forgive her. This was after she had already "taken rings." slashed his tires, broken into his social media accts etc. things he was willing to forgive her for doing.
But, he could not forgive this.

Sky Hughes talks about how she had a hunch that ARIAS, who was suppose to be asleep, was listening to TA talk to the Hughes. She opened the door and sure enough ARIAS was listening. They told her to go to the bedroom where she was sleeping. See and/ or hear the rest on HLN of what happened when TA opened the door later and she was there.

Sky Hughes does not think it was coincidence the grandfather's gun was reported missing on 5/28 just 2 days later. She states her belief that is when ARIAS started planning to kill him.

If the judge had the trial Monday thru Friday 9:00 until 5:00 with two breaks and a lunch break it would have been over long before now. I am so glad Nurmi stayed in his chair today or they would have been there until in the morning the way he rambles on so slow.

Juan nailed it today!

I love the court reporter!! He's been going all day and evening, but you wouldn't know it from looking at his face. In fact, he's been so professional this whole trial.

No matter what shock value testimony comes up, he holds a perfect poker face. And I'm sure he doesn't miss a word.

I believe the incident at the Hughes's home took place when they were just starting to date in 2007. By May 2008 Arias was living back in Yreka and after Travis sent her the angry text messages about whatever the unforgivable act was, she stole the gun and drove to Arizona.

It is too bad that he didn't heed the warnings of the Hughes and other friends though, until it was too late.
