you are assuming the jodi was telling the truth when she claimed that she was beaten by her boyfriend, however there is NO evidence to suggest that was the case, except her word, which is quite suspect to begin with. remember she lied to the cops twice before she admitted killing him, and she was caught lying on the stand as well.

now if she had stabbed him once or twice, then walked away, i might have tried to buy the story she told. but she stabbed him 27 times, then shot him in the head, and then slit his throat nearly decapitating him. and she did this AFTER going to his place and sleeping with him. that tells me she intended to kill him, rather like a black widow spider. as far as i am concerned, fry her.

Apparently, some folks believe that when nutjob expert witnesses say dumb things, said dumb things constitute some kind of proof of something or other.

Francine Hughes was an example of true abuse.

Jodi Arias not so much.

But again, since you can't fix stupid, there's not much point in discussing it.

I'm legit curious as this is the first I've ever heard of it.

EDIT: Of the case in general. I've never heard of this before today.
No, the entire abuse claim was based on nothing more than the words of an admitted liar and now convicted murderer.

Hopefully the state of Arizona will not be spending more money to feed and confine her the rest of her life.

Note: If this was a legit abuse case, I would've supported the defendant. Seeing how it doesn't seem like it is an abuse case, that support is out the window.

This thread is nothing but a digital version of a pitchfork and torch mob of the old west. You all want blood and not truth.

of course we are surprised, the longer it takes a jury, the greater chances of Not guilty verdict and with some of the verdicts that have come down in the past few years, anything could happen. Did anyone believe she wasn't guilty, I doubt it, but believing her guilty and having the jury agree could have been something different.

Yes, because a legitimate act of self defense usually involves stabbing someone 29 times, shooting them in the head and slashing their throat.

She also initially told the cops that she wasn't in Arizona when it happened, than when confronted with proof she was in the house said that she saw two intruders kill him and only after sitting in jail for a couple years did she come up with her BS tale of abuse and self defense.
