In this case, though, there is no evidence that she was abused. Or at least that's what people have been saying in this thread so far.
That's correct, the abuse claim is not supported by any evidence - just the word of the murderer. She never told anybody about it, no police reports, no medical treatment, nada.
I believe he mentally abused her, which can be worse than physical abuse.
He sent her a lot of really abusive texts, then turned around and had sex with her. Over and over. That's definitely a form of abuse. If he meant the names he called her, he shouldn't have continued having a relationship with her.
Either of them could have and should have walked away.
The only "abusive" texts he sent to her was after she had been stalking him for months, slashing his tires, breaking into his Facebook, email and MySpace accounts etc. Would not most people be a little upset by that? Then on May 26 2008 he sent her texts calling her a sociopath and the worst thing that ever happened to him. 2 days later she stole the gun and a week after that he was dead.

Engaging in mutually consensual sex is a justification for killing someone afterwards? If that was the case, celibacy would become very popular overnight.

do you have any proof what so ever of these claims? and i mean something more substantial than jodis word. if so then why didnt you come forward to support jodi? the truth is that you have nothing other than your own prejudices. i dont want a witch hunt in our court system, in fact many is the time i have written on this forum that people need to let investigations take their natural course and let the authorities get to the truth and not to jump to conclusions.
i am sorry if i dont get an attack of stupidity because a pretty girl cries abuse on the witness stand and then provides no evidence to back up her claims.
