No you are changing the story here

"Some" people like me came to that conclusion based on the texts and phone conversations that were recorded, not based on ANYTHING Jodi the compulsive liar said. Saying we are believing her lies is lying because no one has quoted Jodi, we have quoted Travis's own words. Now obviously your definition of abuse and normal behavior differ from ours but that doesn't mean we have been quoting Jodi when we have described Travis's abusive behavior.

There's a world of difference between anger and abuse. Looking at a handful of text messages out of 83,000 that were cherry-picked by the defense team, taken out of context, and deciding they're abusive is absurd. Alyce LaViolette has thrown her career away because she did exactly that (among other foolish things). Dr. DeMarte explicitly said that the angry messages were all reacting to treacherous things Jodi had done...things have been itemized countless times.

And I maintain that with the kind of dirty talk the two of them obviously engaged in, she probably encouraged him to call her a ***** and other such names. "That's so debasing! I like it!" - Jodi Arias

Sad when you're so gaga over a guy you'll tolerate abuse to keep him, but she won't be the first women or the last.

After the mention of personality disorders I came across an article about Alexander's past (not sure of the validity). Allegedly, a victim of sexual assault/ abuse as a child by a family member and torn between religious beliefs and an addiction to pornography. The *****/madonna syndrome. Could account for his behaviors and Arias distortion of the truth with pedophilia accusations.

We're on trial here? Get over it.

Here's add on you'll love;
If ever chosen for jury duty on a criminal case, responding the way you have in this thread to opposing views, you'd be dismissed in New York minute.

From what I have read(and I could be wrong) The Alexanders had a tough childhood because their parents had substance abuse issues but any kind of abuse hasn't been confirmed. They grew up in Southern California, Travis graduated from high school there and it seems they moved to Utah when he was already 18. At that age most teenagers have been exposed to sex and pornography. His sex views were already formed and he probably had already had some kind of sex like most regular teenage boys.

The whole "Jodi introduced him to sex" is BS in my opinion That is just the media vilifying women for having sex, not a very new concept if you ask me The media knows what sells, they are not stupid. It seems like the only person in history who didn't like to stone "prostitutes" was Jesus. I don't think Travis was torn between religious beliefs, during his conversations with Jodi he never mentioned his faith or morality, he always spoke like the average liberal Californian among friends. It seems like the whole mormon thing was just like a job for him. Mormon teachings were the used cars he sold for a living.

Travis was just the typical american misogynist. He wanted to sex all women but wanted to find a "pure" woman for marriage. He had no problems at all with cheating on his girlfriends and demeaning women calling them sluts and such. His phone conversations, texts and twitter comments reflect that.

About the pedophelia claims. I think he was just more deviant than average and so was Jodi for continuing having sex with Travis after he made the 12 year old comment. I think he was just that the type that eventually would travel to a third wild country and pay to have sex with an underage girl. It doesn't seem he was attracted to young boys, I think Jodi made that up. The thought probably crossed her mind when Travis told her he sounded sexy but yet she chose to continue to have sex with a sexual deviant.

I think if we were in another century we would have lynched or stoned to death by the Travis mob for not agreeing that the victim was nothing but a saint.

Really the whole "you must be Jodi" or "you must be Alyce" is very childish.

Betty Broderick was abused. Susan Wright was abused. (Doesn't excuse either of their crimes, however.) Travis Alexander was abused.

Jodi was never abused a day in her life! If you believe otherwise then you are buying into all of her manipulation, calculation and deceit. No stoning or lynching from me...just pity.
