Yes, the other jailbirds praised Baez and he was always there passing out his cards ... typical ambulance chaser. Anthony talked to him and then when paperwork was filed showing indigence this was filed by Baez. The court then appointed Baez as Anthony insisted upon continuing with Baez.
George, Cindy and Lee had a fit and wanted another lawyer since all they knew about Baez was the sleaze. There was a video tape at the jail between Casey and Lee and he is begging her not to use Baez. That was when Judge Stan Strickland was handling the case and had to recuse himself and Judge Perry took over. Then they had another problem Baez was not 'death penalty qualified' so Mason came aboard at pro-bono.

Hmmmm about Mason being pro-bono. Wonder what keeps him involved w her at all now. Maybe he's volunteering to help in the Orlando area. I wonder what other former clients he drives around? LOL ( but not really).
Are you listening to the ABC affiliate in Phoenix?? Apparently, national ABC had an issue with them running everything live ( seems like they've heard Nurmi in the past too), so ABC in Phoenix is broadcasting live on their own. Do you know anything about this situation?
I just came in after a run and HLN said they are already in deliberations!? I was still waiting to hear JM one more time..last I looked that really heavy defense atty(sorry I forget his name) was still in his closing! This was just like an hour ago..

The jury is deliberating now ... would be great if they had a premeditated verdict today.
The judge left it up to the jury to set their own schedule and this is what they have decided; the bailiff advised the judge the jury will deliberate next week from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM until they reach a verdict.
Note: Afraid not gonna happen today the jury has gone home for the weekend.

The defense lawyer is a joke IMO and Jodi is back trying to win an Oscar for acting her best role...what a sad and boring closing for the defense...
Nurmi really enjoys it talking about his 3 hole wonder defendent...
I couldn't watch Nurmi and I don't think I missed anything. I think he gets off on the sex tapes and trash talk. After the lunch break I had my computer set to live streaming the Phoenix TV station on mute. LOL I was waiting on Juan Martinez to clean up Nurmi's mess. Nurmi and Willmott didn't look to good when Juan did his summation.
I can't believe this case is finally in the jury's hands.
I saw the initial Dateline story on this case, but haven't watched any of the trial until today's closing and the prosecution's rebuttal. Glad I didn't waste away my life watching that stuff until this afternoon.....

I checked HLN very briefly during a break. Their headline was: "Nurmi's Zinger" and then a clip of him saying he didn't like her 9 days out of 10 either. I'll admit, I thought it was one of the funnier things HLN has done
