Keep in mind, a Japanese woman that was mentally ill died of exposure in the Dakotas looking for the money hidden in the movie Fargo.

The lid is not too heavy for her to lift.

If the video is obviously edited then we either have to assume that:

a) She was killed by someone powerful enough to put the kabash on the police so.....CIA etc. Schizophrenics typically aren't allowed into the spy business though so that's pretty far-fetched.

b) It's edited for something like brevity or out of respect for the family which is pretty understandable.

There is a loooong history of people that were crazy or high on drugs or just super drunk or unlucky\dumb that did bizarre things that killed them.

-Climbing into Killer Whale tank, bear exhibit, lion enclosure....or the drunk Texan that said eff the alligators this past 4th of July in Texas.
-The people that got ran over by a real train while looking for the "ghost train"
-Guy that ate a homeless guys face in FL while tripping
-Guy fried by cell tower while trying to climb up for a view of fireworks
-Man that broke into zoo out east somewhere and stole venomous snakes BY HAND, bit repeatedly....

So, which is more likely? A known schizophrenic doing something REALLY bizarre or...a conspiracy going high enough to silence the local PD?

For one thing, she wasn't schizophrenic. For another, the L.A. Times article quoted, "Coroner's officials noted that toxicology tests found nothing that contributed to her death."

Your photo does not seem to resemble the photos in the news articles. The lids on the water tanks look completely different.

Well, I'm not sure what it's going to take to convince you. You can see from many of the media photos, including your own links, the same skylight nearby, the platform/railing, etc. These are the same tanks.

The woman in this case was bipolar.

We know she was mentally ill, but don't know all of the conditions she was suffering from. And therein lies the real problem. Everyone wants to make sense out of this case, but mental illness often manifests itself in bizarre behavior that simply doesn't make sense. There's no rational reason for Elisa to have climbed alone to the roof and into that tank, so many just don't want to believe, despite the evidence, that this is what happened.

So sorry, bi-polar....but you knew that.

Also, my point wasn't that she was drunk or high but rather people sometimes do bizarre things when not in their right minds.

For people to come along and state that a person wouldn't have climbed up on the roof etc. as if the person were acting normally is flawed reasoning.

Lots and lots of weird deaths out there.....this is just the 20th century part of the list.

They look like the same tanks to me. If you look at the surroundings, the red sky lights on the roof, the way the building is shaped, the vent pipes, the platform towards the edge of the building, and how that one tank is a different color on top (with the lid open in the close-up). You can also match the lid locations between the LA Times picture and the close-up.
