Nestande gets 10 years

Daughter is just like the father (Bruce) and hasn't received proper punishment for criminal behavior behind the wheel. An innocent bystander and her family have received no justice and unfortunately civil cases in Texas are pretty futile.

My advice is to require minimum jail times for manslaughter convictions. And also to get google and their self-driving car on the road as soon as possible and then mandate that all convicted DUI/DWI drivers use one or don't drive.

Good night and good luck.

Don't drink and drive!

I don't know Bruce from Adam though.

We don't have such a charge here in CA. We just have involuntary manslaughter (up to 4 years) or vehicular manslaughter (up to 6 years) here in CA.

10 years probation seems lenient, but 15 to 30 like the mother of the victim wanted seems quite harsh for the charge.

And here we thought y'all strung em up at daylight.

I see no connection to CA unless she's been cleared to move here on parole?

Bruce was a CA assemblyman; worked under Reagan at the state level; and also for the Californian Republican Party as their executive director.

Gabrielle is supposed to return to CA "briefly", but I wouldn't be surprised is she stays unless mandatory court appearances in Texas keep her back here.

Talking about not receiving proper punishment made me think about Brandy. She slammed into the back of someone doing 65, but the LA County prosecutors found insufficient evidence to charge her with manslaughter. Different rules for poor folks, no matter what color they are.
