FINALLY... a SC judge has sentenced a man for horrible crimes against 3 dogs. They were hog-tied and thrown into a canal to drown....(one did survive).

It seems so many animal abusers get away with no jail time, so a welcome verdict and sentence.

Mr. Scumbag was sentenced to 10 years in prison!!

Goodness. It's about time that serious action is taken against people who abuse animals, especially those which are household pets.

Thank you for posting this.

...always I would be upset when someone committed heinous crimes against animals but nothing but a faint slap on the ole wrist for
"punishment"!

Now...we can hope that wasn't an isolated incident of proper sentencing for crimes against innocent animals...

Yahoo! I despise people who commit crimes against kids and animals.

Good. People should be held responsible for doing horrible things to living creatures. Hopefully more judges will sentence people who abuse / kill animals.

You used to hear about this sort of thing with litters of kittens -ie drowning in a box in a river or stream, particularly in rural or farm settings, and it was deemed acceptable practice.
Jail sentences though are very lenient here across the park, I can recall one guy getting 9 months week-end detention for beating a dog with a hammer, then a fine for beating up his de facto girlfriend.

Kind of hard to have stiff punishments when it is perfectly ok to kill unwanted animals.

That is the reason why you can't compare treatment of humans to treatment of animals.
