This is a mistake in my view. Killing guys like this just gives them the "martyrdom" they seek. Let him rot in prison under strict security for the rest of his life. That's nothing like the martyr's reward these guys think they're going to get by carrying out there missions, and seeing Tsarnaev rot away like that might, maybe, possibly give some potential future terrorist pause to consider whether he really wants to carry out such a plot.

I see this guy as trying to put it all on his brother, and trying to get off...I hope there is direct evidence that ties this guy to the crime.

He deserves a rope. The more we show no messing around with this type of activity, maybe these crazies will think twice.

Personally, why should he even have a trial? Can't he be considered a "terrorist"? He wanted to be one....straight to Gitmo!

It's going to be difficult to find impartial jurors for this case.

" 'It WAS him,' Judy Clarke, one of the nation's foremost death-penalty defense attorneys, said of Tsarnaev in a startling opening statement in the biggest terrorism trial in the U.S. since the Oklahoma City bombing nearly 20 years ago."

"Boston Marathon bomber's relatives recall a 'smiling, loving child' "
It makes one wonder when and how he went so astray.

That can be said of many serial killers when young and a time they did stuff their relatives never knew about.

What an evil P.O.S. I'm not sure which would be worse for him - the death penalty or life in prison without parole, preferably solitary confinement - without access to a computer, books, anything - forever.

I've read that in some places that the death penalty will actually cost taxpayers more money than sending someone to life in prison. Go figure
