You're saying he got over 30 years for multiple counts? Did he have previous felonies? All he can do at this point is try to appeal and a lawyer can tell him on what grounds (if any) he has to appeal. Circumstantial evidence is still evidence...but IMO it would be extremely unlikely for a parent to willingly put their kid through a trial where they have to testify and coach them to lie in court, just to hurt the defendant. Some say the parents that sued Michael Jackson did that for the money, but I doubt your friend has millions of dollars and I'm not sure that the kids in the MJ cases were all lying, either, given all that's come out since then. He was able to afford the best lawyers in the country, as well.

The little girl pointed at him, but no other evidence, as far as we know. Is it possible or it has to be some other circumstances I am not aware of that could cause him to be convicted?
Its possible you're hearing a one sided story. There's has to be more than mere pointing as evidence.

he had previous troubles with the law, which prolly affected the trial and his overall perception by jurors, but nothing related to sex crimes or child abuse, the thing is the girl's mom could have reasons to lie and coach cuz maybe she wanted to sue the daycare for their money cuz she kinda scammed the govt into paying for it and then they told her to pay it back, and also she could be covering for her bf cuz doctors and experts said the girl did get sexually abused, but like i said there was no real indication that i heard so far that it was my friend, while mom's bf was with her a lot and parents in the daycare saw him kiss her on the lips, which is kinda unusual, especially when he is not her dad, another crazy thing i know for a fact took place-police found child porn on mom's bf computer so i dont even know why he wasn't the prime suspect
my friend used to live in the daycare house so thats how he ties into it allegedly even tho he didnt live there for a long time when they arrested him for it, but his license said the old address so i guess they didnt believe him when he said he moved

They would have conducted a medical evaluation of the victim and presented those findings. Any exculpatory evidence, such as no evidence of sexual trauma would have come out pre-trial and argued vigorously. There is no way such evidence would have been suppressed at trial.

Good day, Sir.
like i said, they determined there was abuse, but there was no medical evidence that we know of that proved it was my friend

Thread closed. This is not a "True Crime" with a link to a news story, or other information.

We don't know the details. But, yes, people who are innocent are convicted, and people who did commit the crime are free.
