After seeing many documentaries about his trial I was convinced he was innocent and this morning the news was that the court overturned his conviction and he will walk free. The prosecutor has 15 days to file for a new trial but chances will be slim to none since both witnesses already testified to have lied under oath and pointed to Ryan while it wasn't him.

One of the witnesses is the one who committed the act and blamed Ryan to be with him and later stated he lied!

This will be a great day for Ryan and his family and at least he can try to pick up his life and hopefully he will have a long and prosper life in happyness so he can forget this horrific ordeal.

I signed it too and I'm not a person signing something like that easily since I always think about the victims family and how they must feel but this case has been so weird and sad to have this guy sit there in prison for years even after both witnesses claimed to have lied under oath and admitted that...on top of already a case that looked he wasn't there.

What a waste of tax payers money and sad for Ryan to loose year of his young life....and for the sister who must feel guilty fo telling him to go out.

Ryan Ferguson Update: For 8 years, "48 Hours" has reported on the problem surrounding Ferguson's now-vacated conviction - Crimesider - CBS News

Thank goodness! The last update 48 Hours did was when the friend and the witness admitted they lied, and thr judge STILL didn't believe them! That made me so mad, and taught me some uncomfortable truths about our justice system.

He is FREE!!!! Even journalist told him he should be the next State Attorney...how funny is that and what a special person Ryan must be to say that he wants to guy who got him in prison to be freed since he feels the guy needs mental help and is also innocent.

Of course we should remember the family of the murdered person who now has to deal with a dead person and no real killer being convicted and that must be difficult for them too.

We should remember that there are many victims in this case and a killer or multiple killers who are walking around free.
