I don't know if she's guilty or not but her lack of ethics and character in willing to lie to let another innocent man (Patrick Lambumba) spend decades in prison seemed to come back as karma for her.

In a sense Knox is guilty by trial. There's a jury system and the jury thought there was enough evidence of a murder. Plain and simple.

Doesn't matter what WE think the evidence points to, the jury said that she's guilty, so she's guilty. That's how the justice system is set up in both countries. Personally, I think her lawyers should appeal but neither Knox nor the State dept. should fight extradition. That would be a losing battle. State wouldn't in the first place most likely, should an Italian ever murder an American and flee to Italy, we would extradite the Italian back for trial. Expect a rocky international relationship should State fight extradition.

why would she do it? There is no motive.

I have to admit that I don't know a lot about the case but every time someone is asked to present evidence they never do. Or they just mention things that are easily debunked. Like the DNA on the cooking knife.

I don't know if she is guilty or innocent. But you need evidence to convict people.

Did she know Rudy Guede? If she did then its possible that she was his accomplice. But if she didn't know Rudy Guede then it makes no sense that she would be part of the crime.
Amanda Knox was/is a woman of low character and loose morals. A self absorbed liar and a drug user with a history of being promiscuous and bringing strangers to the apartment for sex. She continually jeopardized the safety of her roommates for her own selfish pleasure. She had no qualms about blaming the crime on an innocent man. She was also far more concerned about buying sexy lingerie and effing her boyfriend than being there for her roommates and dead roommates family after the murder.

People like Amanda tend to get away with their crimes in the US because "certain types" refuse to believe that a girl who looks like their daughter/sister/neighbor can also be commit horrible crimes. If Amanda Knox was not a thin, young white woman not a single fluck would be given by the vast majority of those who are cooing over her. This is Exhibit A of "privilege" that so many of the certain types love to deny.

The attractive young Knox did a terrible wrong in Italy. She's a liar and a murderer. She's going to pay for it too...and don't you forget it. Looking forward to seeing the little conniver extradited so that justice can be served.

Kudos to the Italian justice system for their fine work in this case.

What did her in was
  1. Getting caught in the lie about replying to a text from her boss Diya Lumumba.
  2. When she got caught about the lie she loses control of her emotions and appears shocked then immediately states Diya Lumumba as the murderer.
  3. Amanda and Raffaele turning off their cell phones at the same time and then on at the same time the next day.
  4. When the Postal police found the victim's mobile phone the day after the murder and attempted to return it Amanda and Raffaele just happens to be at the cottage and appears surprised. The couple says they were waiting for police because of a burglary although no calls exist. When asked if Meredith Kercher's door was always locked they lie.
  5. Bringing a mop in bucket to the house the next day for a supposedly minor insignificant leak although it didn't need a mop and bucket in Amanda's own words.
  6. Lying about what time they went to bed and woke up when the cell phone evidence and store owner's reports her waiting at his store when he arrives to open up at 7:45 am.
  7. Her boyfriend's lying about working that night on his computer when tests indicates otherwise.
  8. Callousness concerning death by showing public display of affection as if they were at lover's lane or a romantic getaway to Niagara Falls.

Our country let OJ Simpson go and that woman in Florida as well.

There was DNA evidence against her. Her DNA mixed with the victim's in 4 different spots in the house. Knox and the victim had to be bleeding at the same time for this happen.

Her DNA was found on the knife at her boyfriend's apartment, and the knife had the victim's DNA on the blade.

Also, her boyfriend's DNA was found on the victim's bra clasp and only Knox could have let him into the house so it is essentially her DNA too.

They found both their footprints in the house in the hallway using Luminol, they had been wiped away. Luminol is a test for blood. Knox's DNA was in these footprints.

You really do not know anything about this case, do you? Let me explain what happened here so you will be less likely to go about ranting foolishly on the internet about a topic of which you are grossly ignorant:

Witnesses saw a black man running from the scene of the crime.

Amanda Knox, Kercher's roommate, worked as a waitress at a place called Le Chic, which was owned by a Patrick Lumumba, who is a black man.

The Italian investigators, under the directives of Prosecutor Giuliano Mignini (yes, the same Mignini of the "Monster of Florence" infamy) apparently leapt to the conclusion that it must have been Lumumba who murdered Kercher because he is a black man with a connection to Kercher via her roommate Knox. Therefore, over several days of interrogation, they coerced Knox into implicating Lumumba, who is then arrested very publicly before a rabid news media, who are informed by Mignini that the case has been solved.

However, as it turns out, Lumumba has an airtight alibi, namely, half a dozen witnesses who put him at Le Chic at the time of the murder. Worse still, for Mignini, et al., fingerprints discovered at the scene of the murder, implicate one Rudy Guede, a local ne'er-do-well petty burglar who is known to carry a knife. Forensic investigation finds Guede's DNA all over and inside the victim. Guede admits to having murdered Kercher sans any participation by Knox or Sollecito, whom he barely even knows.

NOW, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PART, RIGGSHALL, BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT:

Mignini now has a very serious personal problem. He and his team of investigators have coerced a young American female, during a period of substantial duress, to falsely implicate an innocent man of the murder of Kercher, and then they used this implication to very publicly, very irresponsibly, very prematurely, and very illegally to charge Lumumba with a murder he did not commit. What they did to Lumumba could very easily result in civil lawsuits, as well as criminal indictments for Abuse of Office, Official Misconduct, Obstruction, etc. etc..

Obviously, Mignini has to cover his own arse, so what does he do? He ties Knox and Sollecito to Guede, alleging that Knox was obviously attempting to cover for Guede when she implicated Lumumba. He then proceeds to build this utterly ridiculous case, based upon zero to nothing physical evidence, wherein he suggests that Knox, Sollecito, and Guede (whom Knox and Sollecito barely even knew) were in a drug-fueled, Satanically influenced, depraved state of homicidal sexual frenzy, wherein they raped and murdered Kercher when she refused to participate in the orgy. He then cuts a deal with Guede agreeing have his sentence cut in half in exchange for him changing his story and putting Knox and Sollecito at the scene of the crime.

This case is an outrage. It is an obscene insult to common sense, the universal human virtue of justice, and the integrity of the Italian criminal justice system, to say noting of it being an appalling, reprehensible crime against Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito who are so obviously innocent that one needs to be hopelessly naive, irretrievably stupid, and under some sort of hypnotic trance, in order to believe them guilty.

BTW: Everything you said about the "evidence" is either incorrect or misrepresented.

The Italian courts did not agree with you. Their verdict needs to be respected and Amanda Knox needs to serve time for the crime that she was found GUILTY of committing....murder.

This case reminds me of the David Camm case where a man was convicted of murdering his wife and two small children based on people's perception of an odd reaction to the crime and shoddy DNA evidence analysis. Years after the conviction DNA evidence proved who the real killer was (someone close to one of the investigators). Instead of letting Camm go, the prosecution tried to paint him as an accomplice, even though the two had never met. Camm spent 11 years in prison. He had three trials and then was finally acquitted in 2013. The similarities between the two cases is striking.

Amanda was placed in jeopardy and acquitted and set free by the courts in Italy. Clearly, Italy's latest sham of a trial represented blatant double jeopardy. No Secretary of State in America is going to send a U.S. citizen back to a country that practices and allows for double jeopardy.
