I don't think that is what the poster meant.
He/she was probably talking about having to show ID for many cold medications these days because they contain the precursors for the production of methamphetamine.
We have to show ID here in Indiana. Meth is a real problem in the rural areas of this state, as it is in the rural areas of many states. The majority of meth producers happen to be white and rural so it has nothing to do with being in the "ghetto."
