This is a fascinating thread. I have to conclude, it was nearly impossible for the parents to have fashioned a garrote to strangle their daughter. The DNA under the fingernails did not match. The parents are innocent. A much more likely scenario is a serial killer entered the house. The killer constructed a horrifying scene for the parents to find. He hung around a long time perhaps wanting to kill the parents after they discovered their daughter. The ransom note was similar to the Zodiac killer wanting to taunt the parents. If the parents saw the note he would then take them under gun point to observe their dead daughter before he killed them. Something scared him off, or he became bored, and left before the Ramseys returned home.
Celebrity coroners do not bother me as long as they stick to their knitting and do not puff or huff for one side or the other without clear and unyielding evidence that completely supports their position. The M.E.'s or coroners who bother me as those that lie through their teeth or obviously favor one side, almost always the prosecution.
For example, think: San Diego's M.E., Dr. Glen Wagner in Cynthia Sommers murder trial (husband Todd Sommers); Durham's M.E., Dr. Kenneth Snell, in Michael Peterson's murder trial (wife Kathleen Peterson); Orlando's M.E., Dr. Jan Garavaglia in Casey Anthony's murder trial (daughter Caylee Anthony); and of course, the most infamous coroner of all, Cleveland's coroner, Dr. Sam Gerber, in Dr. Sam Sheppard's murder trial (wife Marilyn Sheppard) -- to name but a few classic slime dwellers in my opinion.
Something scared him off, or he became bored, and left before the Ramseys returned home.
Hmmmm....After a party at FW's house, the parents & the two kids came home on 12/25 to their house (in the evening), and allegedly never left the house at all after that until after the body of JBR was found on the afternoon of 12/26 (though it's possible one or more of the family members left the house at some point during that time, I believe both kids were there all night).
So, are you saying it's possible that an intruder was in the house prior to the R.'s returning home from the Christmas party the evening of 12/25 (this is one theory), and that intruder grew "bored" and left before the R.s' returned home?! If so, then that would mean no intruder was there after the R.'s got home. However, you're also saying that you believe the theory that an intruder was responsible for the crime?!

Previously debated in the thread; whether John and Patsy handled the ransom note:
According to Patsy in deposition in April 1997 and June 1998; she stepped over the ransom note spread out on the steps, bent over to read them. Both times said she really can't remember if she handles the note or not.
When John were asked, he told investigators, Patsy handed him the notes, he put them on the floor and spread them out to read.
Understandable that Patsy doesn't remember, she's in a panic.
What's strikes me as unusual, remembers everything before going to Whites for dinner, that JonBenet refuses to dress in red and black, as she had and instead wore a white blouse with sequins and sparkles around the neckline. Investigator inquires twice whether the Whites dinner were buffet or sit down dinner, she can't remember, then says she sat down and ate, Patsy doesn't know the differnce between sit down dinner and buffet? Has not a clue what son Burke wore to the Christmas dinner, yet beforehand, when asked about her normal routine with the kids, she always laid out Burkes clothing.
Patsy says she and John had only a class of wine that nite of Christmas dinner, taking no medications at the time JonBenet were murdered. John took melatonin as a sleep aide.
During time of interview on April 30th, taking Paxel, Adavan and Lorzipan.
(all spelled incorrectly by transcriber)
There were two parties held in the home during Christmas season, one on Dec 13th, with about 50 to 60 people from church, as well as the well known party on Dec, 23rd.
Both John and Patsy report odd behavior from Fleet and Priscilla White. Read elsewhere dispute between John and Fleet after JonBenets funeral in Atlanta.
Fleet White calls Linda Arndt to retrieve JB favorite teddy bear for her burial?
Yes, I definitely saw similarities in the letters the interviewer chose. I thought Patsy was being obtuse when asked about it.
If it were me, I'd say "yes I see the similarity but I didn't write the note." Would that be the wrong thing to do? Would admitting similarities convince everyone I'm guilty? I dunno but I couldn't act dumb and blind.
Lilly, where is this quoted from and date
I assume Patsy...and another lie to cover a lie. Could've fooled me, if this weren't acting dumb and blind, then what was it?
In Patsy's deposition; she had no idea Johns bonus was 118k, in fact didn't really know there was a bonus. Has no idea what her husband Johns income, and said John mentioned 118k figure could be related to his bonus, but wasn't sure at the time.
Patsy was asked if Johns pay stubs someplace in the house, answer, I don't know.
