"I do not blame the Pick-Up Artist community (or its somehow even more deeply tortured counterpart, the Anti-Pick-Up-Artist community) for the deaths of seven people. The man who committed this horrific crime is responsible for this heinous act. But I was interested to see how these groups are reacting to the news. It is disturbing, if not surprising, that they are using these murders to reinforce their hatred of women and 'Beta' men, and to cement their own status at the top of the pyramid..."
PUA wasn't the reason the kid went postal. And Roosh is far from the only PUA. You can't put this massacre on PUA.
The first two sentences of the OP contained the following quote from the article:
"I do not blame the Pick-Up Artist community (or its somehow even more deeply tortured counterpart, the Anti-Pick-Up-Artist community) for the deaths of seven people. The man who committed this horrific crime is responsible for this heinous act."
The writer is being careful not to put this on PUA. The writer is criticizing the PUA community's response , not blaming them for killings.

Someone who is mentally ill will find something to fixate on and "use" that as part of his reason to commit whatever heinous act they are intent on.
I'm no fan of PUA, but I hardly think they can be blamed. They can take their place next to rock music, violent movies, and video games.

I think it may be lending to much credit to describe the PUA folk as a "community."
