Back in the 1960's I had a 1953 Dodge baby hemi. A friend was 'helping' me repair it to get it on the road. It was not inspected - but then it had not run for some time. We did get it running and we had the front seat removed to replace some rotten floor metal. So we decided to take it on the road and 'see' how it drove. We tossed in two orange crates to sit on as a temporary seat. My friend took the first turn driving. Of course we sat a little low in the vehicle because of the orange crates. Then one of our local police officers passed us going in the opposite direction. My 'friend', when he spotted the police car turning around, said (as he jumped out from behind the wheel) your turn!

Fortunately, no inspection tickets, where not that expensive in those days. I think, if I remember correctly, that it cost me $15 and a good chuckle! It was my vehicle and not my friend's. Today it would have cost a lot more and maybe made national news or YouTube.
