That should be blown up and posted on billboards all across the country as a warning to all - "abuse a child and you could look like this before going to jail"!
What if all this was a made up story and the dad just wanted to beat the crap out of someone? Of course in the US, everyone believes the first person to speak and the lynch mob is in place in a nanosecond. No idea what happened, but I know enough never to jump to conclusions too fast. Look at all the people claiming JetBlue was a big anti-Semetic airline because some out of control women claimed it. She spoke first and everyone fell for it. Wish we could do better. Probably not. Dad has an easy defense, and it has nothing to do with the sexual molestation of the son. All he has to say is that the suspect was an intruder in the home. He could have gotten away with killing the guy, even. I bet few defense attorneys will be eager to take on defending the suspected pedopile's case
He was a paid babysitter. He obviously wasn't an intruder and that excuse wouldn't fly for a second. That said, I still don't think the father will or, or should be, charged.

The news articles read that the guy confessed to police that he did it.
So please, don't call us a lynch mob over this incident.

Otherwise, you are correct that some people do jump to preconceived notions without all the facts but this post is best put in those threads.
