Thank you! And BTW, it's no better when somebody dusts a man!

I hate to be the messenger with doom and gloom ( even if it is reality) but to be honest horrific acts have been committed against innocent women, men, children and animals since recorded time. It will never stop as long as humans exist...if you need proof of this take a good look around as well as look at the history of humans on earth.

I have seen enough and I do my best to avoid "news" that pushes the ugly side of human behavior in our face everyday.

I have a neighbor who is 96 and I totally relate to him when he says that he has seen so much awful things in his lifetime done by humans and that he has no more room to in his heart and soul to look around and see one more horrific thing done by humans.

Pretty sad, isn't it, TVC? There doesn't seem to be a safe place to work anymore. Schools are a target, realtors are a target, postal workers Wall Street, manufacturing. You name it. Look at the news just in the past few years and you'll find some act of aggression on other humans. For a civilized nation <cough cough> we sure are an angry bunch.

But it's not really like that. The news coverage would make you think we all need armor plating and CCTV coverage 24/7, but the violent crime rate is way down.

It is like that in many metropolitan areas, though. I'm not sure where you live, but take a look at cities like Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Baltimore, New Orleans, DC, etc. The list is endless. Many of our cities have become virtual war zones. I would certainly recommend armor plating if you plan to walk many areas of these cities at night. It's not sensational news coverage, it's reality.
