just watched the show on this and I can't say that I'm overly convinced, although some of the "evidence" does look bad on him. Even if it was never sexual the inordinate amount of time that he seems to have devoted to the Lithuanian girl really came back to haunt him. Even if he did commit the murder, that "jailhouse snitch" was so obviously coached, on that alone had I been on the jury I could never have found Leuthold guilty. I'm supposed to believe that a "cold, calculating" murderer would blab every minor detail to a cellmate? Oh, and nice bit of acting getting confused about the girl's name to try and make it seem as though you weren't coached...
What Leuthold said at the end of the show got me thinking. This kind of scenario is what pretty much everybody expects to be the case, our pop culture entertainment makes it a theme over and over and over in scores of crime dramas and inverstigative reporting programs. How exactly do you act when you know that the police are pinning it all on you and that they're twisting every casual communication you had with someone as motive for murder?
If these people managed to produce a "jailhouse snitch" who was obviously coached, who knows what else has been fabricated. It's not uncommon for evidence to be "misplaced" or fabricated in order to help "solve" an otherwise difficult case - especially in small jurisdictions where not solving a murder case can have wider ramifications.

I really got the cold chill from the Lithuanian girl, more than him. She has the weirdest, craziest eyes. I think he's probably guilty, pretty typical scenario of wanting another "woman."
