Suspect in 'heinous murder' of Ind. pastor's wife caught on surveillance cameras, cops say | Fox News

LE are "saying" they have evidence. Wish they'd show the video of this person; it might help....

Poor woman didn't even die at once; she died the next DAY.

I thought the same thing you did (Scott Peterson script ) before the new evidence......black youth, hoodie seen by multiple neighbors/reported to police and other homes robbed the same day. Looks like they are looking for Trayvon Martin from the description

You'll need to expound. IMO, No neighborhood is exempt, though statistically in some areas murders by someone unknown could be higher. 10% is Department of Justice statistic for women.

Some reports state Blackburn a former pastor?

Why wouldnt LE release surveilance photo to speed up apprehension? Accusations of profiling?

Donations requested online, including (although currently small) a reward.

You're right; it doesn't fit. Here's some interesting language that came out of a Friday press conference among police, who, after reading this article, I think either suspect the husband or are venturing into scary JonBenet Ramsey territory and are out of their depth:

Quote:
Police also declined to say whether anything was stolen from the Blackburn home.

Authorities said there was "no forced entry" into the home but declined to clarify exactly what that meant.

Earlier this week, police said they were withholding some information about the case as a way to protect the investigation.
Quote:
At 6:11 a.m., Hench said, Davey Blackburn left his home to head to the gym. His wife was still at home, and the couple's toddler was in his crib.
Wow, 6:11, not "around 6 a.m." or even "6:10." That's weird to me.

Quote:
Although photos were not released at Friday's news conference, police said they expect they will later put out pictures of the person.
One neighbor to another: "Oh, okay. We'll just wait and hope we don't get burglarized or murdered; after all, we wouldn't know if IF WE SAW HIM!"

Quote:
Her organs were procured for donation.
Why do they keep on about that? I think LE are saying it for a reason, but I don't know why.

So.....what did the "burglar" take from their home? If he was seen taking stuff from the other home, what was taken from this home?

Also...an hour and a half from the time the neighbor's house was robbed to the time a neighbor heard shots fired?

From the ABC link:

Quote:
Investigators have determined that the suspects went into the neighbor's house at 5:30 a.m. and Blackburn's husband, Pastor Davey Blackburn, is seen leaving his home at 6:11 a.m. to go to a gym.....

....A neighbor reported hearing shots fired between 6:45 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. and surveillance footage from the neighborhood that has been collected by police shows a man leaving Blackburn's house and driving away in an SUV, police said...
REALLY?

What burglar spends that much time in the area when he's committing crime? They go in, they grab, they leave. They don't spend an hour and a half in the neighborhood, poking around.

Agree and I don't know statistics but how many burglars carry guns on them besides straight up home invaders which this crime doesn't appear to be?...

Expound? The neighborhood is more or less in in a bad area. You can turn on the news any morning and there would be a 50/50 chance of a murder of some sort nearby. You'd have to be nuts to live around there if you had any other choice.

Neighbors either in denial, or poor judge of what constitutes good neighborhoods. I can't speak to veracity in the article.

NY Daily News reported that the husband is not a suspect...and the video of the man walking around the neighborhood early that same morning has been released. The article stated that the police do consider this a home invasion style crime and that evidence was left behind...
