Do you have any idea how many kids lie and cover during questioning by Social Service Workers?
I wonder if Social Services were made aware of Burkes scatolia ( finger painting with fecal matter)?
Even if one believes Burke guilty...which does account for Patsy or John never turning on each other...how do you get past the sick sexual staging? How do you find your dead 6yr old child killed at the hands of your 10 yr old and say ok let's do unspeakable acts upon her to throw authorities off Burke's trail(which btw if true worked)...

Prior abuse does explain the staging and also might be a reason not to implicate Burke...god knows if there was abuse letting him out of the care and control would have likely opened Pandora's box...hmmm interesting...
Please post links for sealed and supposedly unreleased evidence grand jury used for indictment as well as information about Smits denial by BPD presenting 3hr testimony.

You misquoted about prior abuse. Dr. Meyer did not ever agree with anyone that there was prior abuse, and he was the doctor who actually performed the autopsy. He brought in another doctor to confirm his evaluation.

A grand jury does not make its decision in the context of an adversary proceeding. Grand jurors see and hear only what prosecutors put before them. The whole point of a grand jury is to decide if there is enough evidence, beyond a reasonable doubt, to prosecute.
From the Boulder Daily Camera, April, 2001: "Smit made his case to the district attorney and his team of prosecutors, showing them a Powerpoint presentation of his intruder theory, according to court records released last year.
The computer presentation included the crime scene photos he took with him when he left the Boulder County District Attorney's Office in September 1998, after dedicating 18 months to the case.
It would be "in the best interest of justice" to show it to the grand jury, Smit told prosecutors.

They would have sent him to the Whites because the Whites were the only people they trusted. They knew the Whites would tactfully do something to take his mind off whatever happened that night, probably let him play with toys. They knew the Whites would have the compassion to not ask him about last night.
Except that the Whites were at the Ramseys' house. We still don't know who the "grandmother" was who gave permission for BR to be interviewed by Det Patterson while BR was at the Whites. (From what I've read, after he interviewed BR, Patterson apparently believed that BR did not know anything about what happened that night.)
