I'm not sure what I would do if I was in their situation.
Imagine the paparazzi smelling money for the rare photo of Sherri?
I would probably move away and never come back. I've known people who moved for less serious crimes like a home burglarized. It would not be for fear of reporters but for fear of the perpetrators coming back. It wouldn't be hard to figure out her address.
Criminal Profiler Pat Brown's analysis. I have to admit this is very close to my own theory (SP staged it herself) except I had been speculating that a man was involved and battered her after something went wrong between them.
What's in this analysis is true, and it's something I hadn't thought of: we have not seen the brand. We don't know how deep it is, or what it is, or how quickly it could heal.

Interesting. I think SP staged it, or perhaps a boyfriend of hers did.
I do too. But if this is the case and LE sorts it out, what could she be charged with beyond lying to a police officer? I remember from the Casey Anthony saga, that's only a misdemeanor (in Florida anyway).

The police also cleared the husband on the basis of his work vehicle's GPS confirming his whereabouts at the time of the disappearance. He's excluded from being an abductor, but he could possibly be a plotter.
The step-father-in-law was involved with Cameron Gamble in publicizing the ransom/reward.
Most of the possible scenarios besides the fake ransom kidnapping have some problems, mainly due to the lack of information.
Faked own disappearance - injuries, may have been kicked in face (would need another person in plot)
Family faked disappearance for money - husband cleared, very unlikely rest of family would be involved w/o receiving money
Sex trafficking Kidnapping - no sexual assault, no men, branding not gang-related
Revenge kidnapping/assault - no past history of threats
Ransom kidnapping - no ransom demand or contact
Fake ransom kidnapping - high risk, may have knowledge of family's habits, suspect has financial problems

That couple was jailed, and forced to pay restitution for the cost of law enforcement and military time searching for the kid, and that only lasted 5 hours.
So maybe I missed this in another post because I didn't read all of the other thread. But her in-laws stated that Sherri actually staged another incident in 2006 that was proven false?
