Well, there has been a belated Christmas miracle: Jayme Kloss has been found alive, two counties north of Barron County. A suspect is in custody. I can't imagine what those grandparents and family members have gone through. This is such a blessing, regardless what may have happened to her over the past months. Whole lot of work has been done and a whole lot of prayers have been made in this part of the state for this girl.

Was just coming to post this! Incredible that she was found alive after so long, great work by investigators. Gonna be a very interesting story to hear, whenever she is ready to tell it. Yay for a happy ending!

This is amazing news, as I know the area well. Sounds like she escaped and rescued herself!

https://wkow.com/news/top-stories/20...s-found-alive/

Closs was found in the town of Gordon in Douglas County at 4:43 p.m. and a suspect was taken into custody at 4:54 p.m., also in the town of Gordon, according to a news release from the Douglas County sheriff.

Beth McDonough, a reporter at KSTP, the ABC station in Minneapolis, said a source told her a woman was walking her dog in a refuge area when a girl ran up to her screaming that a man had murdered her parents. The woman notified authorities who responded.
MCDonough said Jayme was taken to a Duluth hospital, where she is being checked out. Her relatives were on their way there Thursday night.

So happy to hear! That's the only way she would have been found, if she saved herself because LE were clueless.

It said some lady was out walking her dog and saw her and helped her by calling 911 . that lady had a huge dog if it is the lady they showed and I don't think anyone would want to tangle with that lady that dog would probably hand them their head .Praise God and thank you Jesus .

Well, to be fair they might have been without clue because there simply were no viable clues to go on. We don't know yet whether they were "clueless", which implies some incompetence on their part. Being small population rural counties, I would imagine they don't have the greatest expertise.

Having some personal experience with LE in the general area, but not those specific departments though, I definitely wouldn't rule out your premise either.

It doesn't take long to pinpoint the home of the people who called 911 in Gordon. Rural, wooded, but there are a couple possibilities for the "nearest neighbor", one of them being a much less attractive property than all the surrounding homes.

It also doesn't take long to come up with a good guess of the suspect's name, on the barronsheriff inmate log.

We'll see.
