You can't make this stuff up. The guys name is Madoff . His daughter works for the securities and exchange commission. Next thing you know he is going to come out and say I just did all this to show you how flimsy the economic system is in a modern day action hit thriller manner. Live Free or Die Hard revisited.

In light of the debacle that is occuring, i have a question - Going by history, when scams such as the Madoff ponzi scheme occurs and is revealed, there are usually more scams to be uncovered, at last by the dilligent eye, so to speak. Do you think there'll be any more [scams] unearthed?

That is exactly what I said...how many more scams are out there, and we still don't know anything about.....the bailout is another scam to me....
You know the more money that get's printed or the more debt we have the more there is a "need" for work. You are seeing many many countries falling fast in debt and they are going to need to look to someone. In steps the IMF -- International Monetary Fund Home Page (More Action Needed to Combat Spreading World Crisis, IMF Says) . And the mob style tactics of getting these new found assets in the pocket of the IMF creates a you owe me attitude and it also give vast control to whoever the creditor. It's who the US gov. took over the American workforce and in turn took control of us basically as slaves. The more the print the less value we each have the more we feel we have "lost" the more we want to work. With a scheme like that why not move it to a global scale and in fact when we tumbled so did the rest of the world. Hey it's what ya get with a monetary system where the value of the dollar varies due to the amount in circulation and they have the right to print off more. The other side though is the gov. claims it can better control economic downturns with the ability to print money.
Not so much a conspiracy but and definite forethought of a time to step in and "take over". Meaning it wasn't forced but these "banks" are in place for when these countries happen to fail and the only thing keeping the countries from living the bloated lifestyle they were is us living a bolstered lifestyle. As Americans wake up and realize we were just living high and mighty on a bubble and some serious tightening up needs to happen. In turn the infrastructure built up around the world to support us suffered greatly. In turn with the population growth things will be hard maybe even harder than before. With increases in money and comfort population also increase. It would be devastating to find out soon our true value as a nation is a GDP of 9,000 and at the same time we have invested trillions of lost dollars and gained trillions in excess debt.
