Hello,

Does anyone have any ideas on a place to hold a small birthday luncheon in Tucson to celebrate 50th BDay for about 25 people? Prefer something quaint and personal, and not a chain restaurant.

Thanks, All.

Julie

For a moderate budget, Macayo's on North Oracle (Oracle & Ina) is nice. We had a wedding rehearsal dinner there with about 20 people. They put us in a side room, which was really nice. There are lots of other restaurants around, but I'm not sure of their party capabilities.

Tucson's spread such a very large area. Do you have an approximate location? I take people to the Tea Room at Tohono Chul Park for lunch with a nice ambiance, but I don't know about their ability to serve 25 at one table. It's run by the same people who run Acacia at St. Phillips.

Default best place for BDay luncheon in Tucson

Hello,

I love Tohono Chul. Looking in that area of town (Ina - Oracle Road area, called North west???)...Have spent a B-Day there and would like to do someplace different. Hoping to find a place with a side room, so people can walk around, etc. and for privacy. Ideas greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Julie

If money is no object I'd go to the Westward Look Resort. They are equipped for any kind of entertaining. Same is true of the Arizona Inn; it's closer to town but you could have a private room furnished with antiques and French doors opening to their patio. For elegance at a slightly lower budget perhaps Wildflower at Casas Adobe Plaza on North Oracle. I gave my last birthday party at North at La Encantada. I love the food there and it's a beautiful restaurant, but I don't know if they have a private room.

Gosh, Jukesgrrl! We have the same taste! Just spent the weekend at Westward Look. Gave a BDay Party to my Mom in beautiful separate room at North (with Windows looking out) at Law Encantada a few years ago. Was so much fun. Believe we had a family bkfst at AZ Inn. I haven't been to Wildflower. Want something at Moderate budget. Will check that out. If any other ideas come to mind, please send them my way. Thank you for taking the time to respond to this post....:-)

Default B-Day for 50

In the Old Presidio, the historic section of Tucson, the Cushing Street Restaurant and Grille. If it is the Fall months, it is perfect on the back patio. They are only open for dinners but will do personal parties upon request. Food is great. It is across from the Convention Center. Also, the patio at Maynard's which is in the Historic Train Depot downtown across from Hotel Congress. They have their own parking lot which is a must downtown, as does Cushing Street. Both are very pleasant spots.

I'd recommend Acacia at St Phillips. Great food. Central location. Nice place. Price is right.
