Thanks!

Tough question, Lemon.

Just for clarification . . . what type of vehicle needs or wants a new paint job? Are you looking for "custom" or just a simple refresher?

Prices range from about 500 bucks all the way up to about 2k bucks.

Whooooooos, rbohm . . . you are correct, I meant to post $20k, not $2k.

Blame it on the hour and waiting for my coffee.

Are you certain you need a paint job, LY?

Depending on the age and condition of the paint, a good detailer is able to work miracles on tired and faded paint for about 150 bucks (possibly a little more for an SUV).

Good Luck.

Check out Duval Body and Paint just west of La Canada in Sahurita. He just did my wife's Lexus RX-300 hood and it looks new. $400 for the job, to give you an idea of prices.

Remember, consumer complaints not permitted on the forums. So "places to avoid" can be communicated only by DM.

There is so much to a paint job.

Most collision and/or body shops do a good job.
It's mostly the prep - taping and overspray that are issues.
Not having an airtight paint room.
Orange peal look can be an issue.

There is a difference between a restoration paint job and a collision paint job. One being much more expensive then the other.
