Default Why are you leaving Tucson?

Jobs hard to find? Too hot in summer? Unsafe?
I'm just wondering what makes you tic.

I left last summer for several reasons. First, because I got a job elsewhere. But I the reasons I was looking for a job were primarily:

1) Too dry - this was a problem for me health-wise. I have never had consistently pain (sinuses & headaches) as I did in Tucson
2) Farther from family than I wanted to be
3) Culture - Tucson has it's own culture. West coast in some ways, but not quite. I found it grating, and people generally came across as rude and obnoxious. Had I grown up there, that probably wouldn't have been the case, but coming from elsewhere, it definitely comes across that way.

I could probably have put up with any one of these, maybe two, but the combination of the three had me looking to move.

I have to agree with the above and allergies were 10 times worse then any where I have lived, not to mention TUSD schools and the rest of them going down hill. Crimes up. Culture is lacking...too far to drive to phx and the teams phoenix has wouldn't make me want to see them except for maybe the Suns if I liked Basketball. I loved U of A athletics and I think I will alway be a fan but just too many dislikes. The dryness kills your skin not to mention I never felt healthy there.

I too have had major sinus related issues this past season in Tucson, after having but one seasonal allergy attack in my life back east.

There are many reasons why I will be leaving tucson, all of which I can go on for ages about. Here are just a few:

The lack of:
-Infrastructure
-Jobs (though I managed to snag a good one after working many others)
-intelligent people (When the #1 employer in the state is Walmart, or if you're a UofA student),
-considerate people
-and favorable people (especially when they leave when classes arent in session)
-Nights without sirens and gun shots. To the point that I can tell what kind and how many (to both).
-Good looking people.

So where did you go? I'm planning to leave, too, when I can get at least some of my money out of my house, but I don't know where to go. Lots of places I would like, but they're all too expensive or the winters are hideous.

If we end up leaving it will be because of the cost of homes in relation to pay and crime.

I couldn't have said it better. I feel like I'm stuck here. I don't have family but have friends. I've found I can't get used to weeds in the front yards as a standard here and there is lack of energy and professional people. People here don''t take care of themselves generally and an "It doesn't really matter anyway" attitude prevails." I could go on but it would just make me more upset than I already am. Moving to Tucson was one of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life. After what happened yesterday just confirmed.

I think your credibility just flew out the window with that one.
