1) Where to live around Tucson?
a) I will want to rent a house (3 bdm) for about $1,000/mo. Airconditioned of course.
2) I am negotiating moving costs so need some info on what it will cost to move. I have never moved more than 100 miles before.
a) Cost for moving stuff?
b) should I sell the furniture and buy new to save money?
c) How do I negotiate the lost potential selling my house in this market and in short timeframe?
d) Cost to move cars/dogs (2 cars, 1 motorcycle, 3 chihuhuas)
e) what costs might I not be thinking of? I know utility fees, registration fees,

I have been in Tucson in the winter and in the summer working with a company there so know the weather. I prefer the heat to the freezing cold here. The bugs bother me but, hopefully I will find an area where they are less of a problem. Reptiles do not bother me as I am an experienced reptile owner (large pythons, iguanas, etc., rescued for the Humane Society).

I am mostly concerned about negotiating the relocation benefits appropriately.

Thank you in advance for your input.
Hey Mike where in NH are you relocating from? The wife and I live right on the NH border in Mass. We are trying to get out to Tucson also and finally be rid of these nasty winters.

Actually it was a long road out here. I grew up in Mass, got into the high-tech world in the 128 area, and got transferred out to CA where I spent many years in Silicon Valley. Then we moved to NY for three years (don't ask) and then moved to the small, but centrally located town of Kingman, AZ where we've been for 4.5 years. Love it!! Best place I've ever lived. We're in northern, AZ. Tucson is way down south, but I would be equally happy there I'm sure. I always tell people that New England is a great place to be from!
