Default hola!

I've been reading/lurking here for a short while and just wanted to say hello.

My wife and I moved to Tucson nearly 5 years ago from the Seattle area. We pulled the plug completely and live here year-round. We live on the East side of Tucson, just off Bear Canyon Rd. The only thing we really miss about Seattle is the bustling downtown scene (when the weather was nice). We came here primarily to get away from cold/damp/gray days and we have not been disappointed!

Thanks for reading.

I understand and agree fully, rrgone

It will soon be ten years since I relocated here from Northern California and I have never been sorry or disappointed.

I'm originally from Monterey CA, moved to a similar climate in southwestern Germany (Trier) then came here to Tucson AZ. Although I love my previous places, Tucson for the past 5 years has grown on me and I can see it in my future...

Cheers!

Well, belated "welcome" to you!! Glad to hear your enjoying your new home. Tucson has a great deal to offer, plenty of outdoor activities, opera, the arts, the museums down on the U of A campus are great!! You can't "swing a dead cat", as Grandma would say, without hitting a good restaurant...and as our summer heats up there is always the White Mountains/PineTop/Lakeside to head to to beat the heat!! Or head southeast to Benson area, very pretty down there this time of year with the monsoons and all.....again, welcome to Tucson!
