Wink Greyhound bus

Hi, has anyone taken the Greyhound bus from Tucson to Aneheim (Disney trip)? If so are there taxis at the bus station there for hire to go a nearby hotel? Thanx for any replies.

The bus creeps me out. LOL
If I were you I would check into the Amtrak train. The train station is very close to Disney Land and many of the local hotels have a shuttle that will pick you up at the train station.

Both Amtrak's Sunset Limited and Greyhound have horrendous track records in Tucson for being late. Amtrak would definitely be my choice though.

That train will take you to LA and, from there, you just catch another train to take you to Anaheim. You can book this directly through amtrak.com. The train leaves around midnight in Tucson and gets to LA at around 10am.
Metrolink :: Welcome

Once you get to Anaheim, there's a quick shuttle bus from there to Disneyland. That bus will also take you to the various hotels scattered around Disneyland.

The other benefit to Amtrak is the location in Tucson: the train depot is Downtown directly across the street from Hotel Congress, in a busy area. The Greyhound bus terminal is in a small shack in a part of Downtown that isn't terribly safe and gets pretty desolate after 5pm. But the Amtrak train doesn't run everyday, so that can be problematic.

Or you can just hop on a airplane and land in Orange county airport (Get there in 48 minutes) then the motel shuttle will pick you up along with your luggage.

Yes, Disney wants your $ and they will take care of you to make sure you can get there.

There's no direct flight from Tucson to Orange County. You have to connect through Phoenix or Las Vegas.

Southwest used to fly direct to John Wayne Airport. I wonder why they don't anymore?

A greyhound trip with kids (assumption being made) to Disneyland? Can't recommend that idea to anyone. Only a trip to a war zone in the Kandahar province would be less appealing.

People forget, when generalizing about Greyhound bus riders, that there are those who will never, ever step foot into plane, even if the flight were free!

My cousin has the resources to fly first class wherever she desires to go, and what are the options for someone who will go to her grave saying: I never flew in a plane, and, where there's no train connection where she lives?
