Default What can you say on UMC in Tucson?

I am a nurse from the philippines who is planning to work in UMC ,Tucson. And so, I would just like to ask some feedback about UMC and the condition of nurses working in UMC. Thanks!

Can't speak to working conditions at UMC, but as a member of the general public who has seen UMC staff - greeters, cafeteria, nurses (especially in ICU) at work - I have nothing but the best to say! I saw folks who appeared to enjoy their jobs; not looking overly tired; attentive & noticing the comings and goings of people about the busy hospital - And a general atmosphere of interest, care, kindness, and even pride in "knowledge that this place is a learning hospital." It is a most interesting place to walk into - different from a regular county or community hospital - here in the western United States anyway. I cannot speak for even other parts of the USA, never mind other parts of the world. NOr can I speak from a medical professional point of view. I can only speak from the point of view as a family member and friend of patients - and I have UMC as my first choice of care on my medical documents, if I have a choice of care in a medical need here in Tucson. I wish you much success in your medical career, no matter where your career takes you in the world, Tucson's UMC or elsewhere.

I cannot speak about the working conditions either, but I have to agree with Idaho above. I have had family members admitted to UMC and they were always treated very well, there seemed to be plenty of staff to handle the call lights when needed and they were all very caring.
