Question cross middle school

First let me tell you what I am familiar with as far as schools here in NJ...every town has its own school. We researched cross middle school for our daughter, we have know idea where to live. Is that oro valley?? Do all the realtors know the school district boundries? We want to rent a town house first than look for a home to buy. Is anyone familiar with cross middle school?? Is it a good and safe school for our 12 year daughter?? Thanks for any help

Cross is close to Oro Vally, it's in a nice section of town with many older well established residents....Cross is one of the better middle schools in the Tucson district, Ampitheater public schools. Next to Catalina Foothills school district Amphitheater is next in line. If you want to check out a really good districe, check into Catalina Foothills....Orange Grove middle school is excellent. There are all kinds of apartments/townhouses around the Orange Grove middle school area....and yes, the Realtors are very up on school boundries and many of them include that information in their MLS listings.

Thanks so much for the information..as soon as our house sells here in NJ we are headed to Tucson. I did hear that the Catalina school dist. is the best, but I also have been told that I may not be able to afford the housing in that area?? That is why we are looking at cross middle school. Our daughter is in catholic school here in NJ, so we were also looking at immaculate heart school in oro valley. Thanks again for all of the information Millie

While I'm sure there are plenty of good schools in Amphitheater school district (think Oro Valley), I can't imagine the whole district being good. Most likely the schools in its southernmost tip are horrendous, considering it overlaps with some of the worst areas in the city crime-wise - http://tpdinternet.tucsonaz.gov/UCR/...05allcrime.pdf.

If you can't afford to live in Catalina Foothills school district or Oro Valley (but as I said, research particular schools and don't rely on the district as a whole), the next one to look into would be Vail.
