We are looking for a short-term, furnished studio or 1 bedroom apartment for 10-11 weeks this summer for a summer intern. The office building is on the southside of Tucson off of I-10. We are looking
for something affordable in a safe area with a reasonable commute. Hopefully, something
in a area with things to do for a young person. Perferably under $900. We've looked at
extended stay hotels and Oakwood but they are above our targeted budget.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

The best chance of getting a short-term furnished studio or 1 bedroom apt for the summer is around the U of A area (includes downtown since UofA is besides downtown ... and downtown is right by I-10). And you wouldn't have any problem getting a place below $900 per month. If you want much cheaper rent, rent a room in one of the historic houses around UofA/downtown...there's plenty of rental signs during summer (check craigslist) when Tucson is almost half empty. UA/downtown is pretty much where the 'action' is for a young person in Tucson plus it's relatively safe.
