I drive from Austin-Los Angles area regularly and passing through Tuscon on I-10 every time I have noticed the drivers in Tuscon are HORRID! If you try to switch lanes people speed up and box you in and every one stays in a line while they are driving which causes every one to go so slow. Is it illegal to switch lanes here or some thing??!!

I agree, Jaipur . . . Tucson does have plenty of horrible drivers!

Thankfully, those drivers on I-10 are probably no more "local" than you are.

I would put money on snowbirds eing the cuse of a good amount of trouble, but yes the drivers here are worse than the conditions of the roads.

I drive through about four times a year once every season, and it is the same every time, but the drivers in Arizona are bad overall. The ones in Tucson are the worst though. I don't know why it is always in Tucson that they are the worse but it is. Oh well, I guess I will have to adapt.

The snowbirds are definitely back! My personal favorites are the ones who bravely cut in front of ya (even though there may be nobody behind) in order to proceed with 25-30 m/h (preferably in the far left lane). WTF is it with people?!

Well, I don't know that I observed them being "bad drivers" but it's certainly true (it seems to me) that they are pretty fast drivers. No one seemed to obey the posted speed limits at any time.

Worst drivers I've ever observed seemed to be in Las Vegas - not specifically on the strip, but more in the areas frequented more by the locals (ie away from the strip). I've never seen so many folks running so many redlights at such high speeds.

Pretty scare place to drive, in my opinion.

Ken

You all have to try driving in New Jersey. Even if you are going the speed limit people want you to go faster so they drive about an inch away from your bumper. You have the "snow birds" we have the "soccer mom's" in there mini vans. My son lives in Tucson and he complains about the older drivers!! You all drive careful!
