A-Mountain is right downtown. They probably close the gate at 10PM or so.

The north end of Swan is good, or some of the first pull outs on Catalina Highway going up Mt. Lemmon, I think Babbit Dog is the name of a good one.

heatheryork is right about Catalina Hwy. The first pulloff about 3-5 miles up the Hwy is called Babat Duag. Very pretty view.
I am just reading through all the posts and saw this. I suppose you already proposed though.

If you want a romantic dinner consider A different Pointe of View at the Hilton Pointe Tapatio Cliffs Resort. Expensive but beautiful.

Different Pointe of View
11111 North 7th Street
Phoenix, AZ 85020
602-866-6350

Different Pointe of View Phoenix: Home Page

I'd suggest Anthony's In The Catalinas (by the windows, of course) or or Top of the Rock at The Buttes, A Marriott Resort: Hotel deals, rates and availability in Tempe, if you wanna make a weekend out of it. Good luck!

Yeah Anthony's is a good suggestion. Also if you drive a little farther up Campbell there's a place to pull over on the left. It's the very top of Campbell and you can see many lights. You can see alot from A mountain(probably more actually) but it gets kind of trashy there on the weekends.
