Default Good Vet- Tucson

I am seeking a good veterinarian in Tucson. We have a 65 lb, 7 year old Germ Shep who is a spoiled only dog, and can be aggressive with strangers but has never bit another dog or human. She is used to her vet in Mich who was wonderful with her but we're finding that many of the vets here in Tucson are like puppy mills. THey don't take time to get to know the dog, interact with the dog, order numberous costly tests, and waste time and money. I am very disapointed. Can anyone recommend a vet here in Tucson that they've dealt with for quite some time and is wonderful with bigger dogs?
Thank you.

Rolling Hills Pet Clinic is kind of cheap actually. It is on the Southeast Side of town.

Golf Links and Kolb. Where Fry's is.

dr. ed kiesel, camino seco vet clinic, 296-6281
he's been my vet for years, definitely not a puppy mill front, and loves interacting with the dogs he treats. while he's not cheap, his prices aren't outrageous either.

I've been taking our pets to Strickland Vet Clinic at 2954 N. Tucson Blvd. 881-4797

Luckilly, we've only had to go for routine shots and exams... not for problems. But the vets are very friendly. My puppy was kind of shy with strangers, and she took her time with him and let him approach her and get acquainted. The other staff are very good with him too.

There's nothing puppy mill-ish about them at all. It reminds me of the vet clinic my sister works for in Maryland - very professional, reputable and friendly. Another good thing was she took her time to educate me on the different illnesses and parasites that are common in this area.

I LOVE and always recomend Dr. Samuals at the Small Animal Pet Clinic behind Chuy's on Speedway and Country Club 323-9912. I have recomended him to all my friends and co workers and family and no one has ever had anything but wonderful things to say of him.
he has cured my doxie from an intense battle with valley fever and saved my then 2month old chihuahua who is now 10 years old from puppy strangles. The clinic is ran by himself and his wife both are such good people and are totaly in it for the love of animals.

But he isnot just for small dogs, every time we go we get to see all the big fur kids as well as all the cool cats, birds and iguanas that he treats.
