I urge you to look at reviews for Uship.com. This is a Yelp page from Austin, TX, and it doesn't sound good at all: uShip - Downtown - Austin, TX | Yelp

My pets are my family, so I would not trust anyone that I didnt trust. Please be careful. Also, being in a car, with strangers, would be so stressful for a dog.

Unprofessional. Lie to Authority saying they are neutral that only provide a website. NOT TRUE. They sell insurance collect the highest rate in North America. Don't deal with problems. DO NOT USE USHIP.
Hmmm. Thank you Byebye. I actually go by reviews left by customers for the shippers on the uship website. Seemed like there were quite a few with good reviews, and one is a USDA registered shipper.
Let's see. Thank you for that info, though.

Maybe someone needing a little extra $ right now and a couple days vacation time? It might be a lot less stressful to everyone involved. Plus, gas is pretty cheap right now and the I-10 drive is a fairly easy one.

I'd rather give that $500 to someone I know than strangers. Plus you'd have both cars available from Day One in Houston.
Wow that is actually a very good idea. Thank you Yukon. I am going to see if I can find someone to do this.
Thanks!

I'm preparing to use Uship to bring a puppy from Texas to Tucson. The reviews on the site look pretty good and the breeder said two other people used them with good results.
I would like to find insurance though.

Yep I agree.
That is what I am leaning towards as well.
Thanks!

Do you think the company would include negative reviews of their services on their own website?

I wish you the best of luck.
