Went to college in Tucson, I love it and I miss it everyday. But at the end of the day, gotta make a living I guess...

It's been a while since I lived in Tucson, but it always felt poor to me. I think it was because of the high percentage of bare dirt/gravel front yards with no plants or trees whatsoever, often with cars parked in them (and not in the driveway). And this was in the average to nicer than average areas on the East Side.

I didn't hate living there. I think it has a lot of cultural amenities for a metro area its size. I liked that it wasn't flashy or materialistic...but the down side of that is maybe people go too far the other way and neglect some things that I wouldn't (such has having a decent front yard...not necessarily grass, but not completely barren, either).
