GAlove, all I can tell you about the school system here is that both my kids went through the public school system here in Oro Valley. Both received academic scholarships to college, both graduated from college with double bachelors degrees, one is now a Computer Systems Analyst, the other a CPA. Sometimes it's just a matter of perspective, as the saying goes, "Does your rose bush have thorns or does your thorn bush have roses"

svickery is on a distinguished road
Hi,

My husband works down by the airport as well and we live on the northeast side of tucson in the "tanque verde valley". we love it and it is very relaxing. We have "excelling" schools with all the tanque verde little league programs. It is very safe and now with the low housing market you probably will be able to buy a home in the $325K range. You are paying for location and this area is very safe. The commute for your husband will take about 40 minutes each way from Tanque Verde to the airport. Tucson has monsoons (lots of rain that comes very quickly in the months of august and sept) Hope this helps.
Stacey

I know of someone who lived there for years and moved away for a job relocation. She will be returning as there is no place that she would rather be. She Loves it there!
